Our Marriage Intensive was developed to provide time for couples to break away from a world where relationships are constantly tested and pressures of daily life get in the way. Taking intentional time to nurture your marriage isn’t just beneficial—it’s essential.
In our upcoming marriage intensive workshop, we offer:
- 6 hours
- 3 experienced therapists
- Reconnection in your marriage
Why We Created Our Marriage Intensive
As therapists working with couples day after day, we’ve noticed a pattern.
The traditional weekly therapy model, while valuable, often lacks the momentum needed for transformative and lasting change for your marriage.
Couples leave a session with insights and intentions, only to have the demands of daily life pulling your focus away working on the skills you learned in your last therapy session.
This observation led us to develop something different:
A concentrated, immersive experience where couples can step away from distractions and dive deeply into understanding their relationship. The seminar creates a protected space where both partners can focus exclusively on what matters most—each other.
And we’re intentionally keeping this group to a small group of only 10 couples.
Unlike weekly therapy sessions that might cost upwards of $780 for equivalent time, this intensive approach delivers concentrated value at $200 per couple.
But the real investment goes beyond financial considerations—it’s about prioritizing the relationship that forms the foundation of your family and your life.
Our Time Together
During our time together, we are going to take you through some essential tools you’ll need to reconnect with your spouse and have the momentum to move your marriage in the direction of hope and healing.
Lisa Franklin, LCSW, while not a couple’s counselor, has more than 10 years of experience working with individuals to get their marriages back on the right track. Lisa will begin the workshop with information on attachment, attachment wounds from childhood and how these impact the ways in which you are contributing to the disconnection in your marriage.
Luke Harty, LCSW will focus on the biggest contributing factors that lead to marital discord and disagreements around personal core values and the rhythms of daily life. Luke will give you the tools you need to have deeper conversations around intimacy, finances and parenting-to name just a few.
If you want a sneak peek at some things Luke will cover, you can download his free devotional for couples found here.
Grace Patterson, LMHCA will take a deep dive into what motivates us when misunderstandings and disagreements happen in a marriage. Whether it’s a disagreement about caring for the children or household, or ongoing patterns of behavior that aren’t working for either or you. Grace will give you the tools you need to identify where your triggers are coming from, such as the need for respect, security or appreciation.
In this one-day seminar, you will gain the tools to:
- Maintain individual identity while building partnership
- Set healthy boundaries that protect the relationship
- Practice self-care as an act of love for both yourself and your partner
- Recognize patterns that require personal attention and growth
Why You Need This Workshop
This workshop will be different than other marriage seminars you’ve attended before because it will include:
- 3 experienced therapists
- A small group size for personalized attention
- A safe environment to ask questions
What to Expect From Our Marriage Intensive
The day is thoughtfully structured to balance educational components with interactive exercises, ensuring that concepts move from theoretical understanding to practical application.
Light breakfast and lunch are provided, creating a retreat-like atmosphere where couples can focus entirely on their relationship without external distractions and still get home in time to enjoy the rest of your Saturday!
You will leave this workshop with:
- A shared vocabulary for discussing relationship dynamics
- Practical tools for navigating future challenges
- Deeper understanding of your attachment wounds
- Renewed commitment to grow with each other
- Resources for continued learning and development
These takeaways create lasting change, as couples incorporate new perspectives and practices into their daily interactions. Many participants report that the seminar becomes a reference point for their relationship—a shared experience that continues to yield insights long after the day concludes.
