You may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward. Maybe the pressure to live up to expectations — in school, in your art, in your relationships, or even online — feels heavier than it used to. Maybe certain habits have become harder to control. Or maybe you’re simply asking deeper questions about who you are and where your life is headed.

I work with clients of all ages who are navigating the complex intersection of performance pressure, digital culture, relationships, and identity. Many of my clients are musicians, creatives, high-achieving students, or individuals who feel the constant weight of comparison in today’s social media world.

Before becoming a counselor, I spent a significant amount of my academic and professional life immersed in music, marching band, and the performing arts as a whole. I understand firsthand the competitive environments, social dynamics, and internal expectations that often come with those spaces.

I also worked in media and marketing, which gave me a close-up view of today’s news cycle, social media landscape, and the psychological impact of constant connectivity and performance. That experience informs my work with clients struggling with digital burnout, compulsive scrolling, gaming, pornography use, and other process addictions.

How I Can Help You

My approach to therapy is collaborative, warm, and laid-back — while still structured and goal-oriented. I use evidence-based practices to help you build both insight and practical tools. I believe real change happens when you begin to understand your patterns and take ownership of your growth.

Therapy isn’t about fixing you; it’s about helping you develop clarity, resilience, and direction.

For clients who desire it, I am happy to integrate faith into the counseling process. I value exploring how spiritual beliefs can support healing, grounding, and personal responsibility — always in a way that feels authentic and respectful to you.

Treatment Approaches:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
  • Motivational Interviewing (MI)
  • Integration of Spiritual Development (when desired)

Taking the first step can feel intimidating, but you can come out the other side of your story with renewed strength and purpose. Schedule a brief call with our Intake Coordinator to guide you forward.

What You Can Expect in Therapy

In session, I offer a balance of reflection, curiosity, and practical skill-building. I want therapy to feel genuine and conversational — a space where you can show up exactly as you are. At the same time, we will work toward measurable growth. We won’t just talk about problems; we’ll identify patterns, build coping strategies, and clarify next steps.

Healing happens in the context of a safe and trusting relationship. My goal is to create an environment where you feel understood, challenged when appropriate, and supported throughout the process. I believe transformation happens not only in therapy sessions, but in how you apply insight to everyday life — your habits, your relationships, your media consumption, and your sense of purpose.

My hope is that you leave therapy feeling more grounded, more capable, and more intentional in how you engage the world around you.

Outside the Therapy Room

Music has always been central to my life. I play the drums, write and arrange music, and occasionally sing. My wife and I enjoy leading worship at our home church, and I continue to stay connected to the creative world that shaped much of my early life.

Before entering the counseling field, I worked in sportswriting and creative marketing. That experience sharpened my communication skills and deepened my understanding of modern media culture and its influence. I remain an avid fan of football and basketball at both the professional and collegiate levels.

And while I’m not a coffee snob, I might be a coffee shop snob — I’ve explored more than 30 local spots around the Indianapolis area in search of the perfect atmosphere.
